Van Storage

If you are tired of taking a long time to find something in your truck – or if your fleet drivers have been complaining about getting work done on time, it’s time to add van storage solutions to your vehicles. Drake-Scruggs installs Knapheide products to make work easier. Knapheide partnered with Sortimo International for their EXXPAND storage solutions. Drake-Scruggs can also install Weatherguard and Adrian Steel van solutions as well.

Shelving

In most cases, you’ll need shelving and bins to properly organize your tools and inventory. Instead of looking for a wrench or small piece of inventory that rolled or fell into the abyss of “stuff” stashed in the van, you’ll be able to put your hands on exactly what you want, and you’ll be able to do it immediately.

We install modular shelving that is tailored for your fleet and your business. Products available include Shelf Staxx and Flexx Rack. Shelf Staxx features lightweight alternative materials so you are able to carry more weight in tools and inventory. Flexx Rack features drop-down modular shelving. Both systems work with Boxxes, which may be used for tool boxes and van drawers.

The systems are made of fiberglass, which gives you a 25 to 30 percent reduction in weight, which means you are able to add more tools and inventory. The configurable and upgradeable design allows you to change the configuration as required as your business needs change.

Van Storage Bins

Add storage bins by Sortimo Boxxes and Knapheide to the shelving in your van to create a functional workshop where it’s easy to find what you need. The bins slide out from the shelves, making it easier to grab what you need – or you could take the entire bin to the work site with you, thus eliminating many trips back and forth between the van and site. The bins not only slide on and off the shelving, but are secured in place once they are pushed all the way in.

Types of bins include standard boxes, wide boxes, box dividers, stacked boxes with drawers and compartmentalized boxes to hold small parts and pieces. You’ll be able to separate screws, nuts, bolts, and nails by size. Keep other inventory parts related to your job in their own containers, making them easy to find.

Work Faster, Work Smarter

When tools and inventory are neatly stored, you’ll be able to finish a job a lot faster. That means that you’ll be able to head to the next job, and this is important for any commission-based work. If you can do a job that is supposed to take an hour in 45 minutes instead of an hour and 15 minutes, that’s more money in your pocket.
